Shares of Hologic (HOLX) jumped after the Financial Times reported TPG and Blackstone (BX) made an approach to take the company private for more than $16B, according to people familiar with the matter. The proposed deal would value Hologic’s shares at $70 to $72, according to the FT. Shares of Hologic are up 7% to $58.21 following the report.
