Hasbro (HAS) has terminated a publishing agreement with independent video game maker Giant Skull less than a year after announcing it, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports. Giant Skull, founded by former Electronic Arts (EA) and Sony (SONY) game director Stig Asmussen, had partnered with Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast unit on an action-adventure title based in the “Dungeons & Dragons” universe, Schreier notes. “We assess concepts at every stage of development,” a spokesperson for Wizards of the Coast told Bloomberg, noting that the company was still taking new pitches from Giant Skull. “While we decided not to pursue an early concept from Giant Skull, we have great respect for Stig Asmussen and his team and value our ongoing relationship,” the spokesperson added.
