Google (GOOGL) has withdrawn a European Union antitrust complaint against Microsoft (MSFT) after the European Commission opened investigations into whether Microsoft’s Azure and Amazon (AMZN) Web Services need to follow the Digital Markets Act, Edith Hancock of The Wall Street Journal reports. Google initially filed the complaint against Microsoft in 2024, arguing the company used unfair software licensing practices that made it more difficult for rivals to compete.
