Goldman Sachs price target lowered to $930 from $990 at UBS

UBS lowered the firm’s price target on Goldman Sachs (GS) to $930 from $990 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The firm says that even after it reduced its presumed rate cuts from two to one in 2026, its estimates for 2026 and 2027 are largely unchanged. The year-to-date selloff in the sector “could unearth some opportunities, especially given strong momentum” in direct lending, capital markets, and de-regulation for the industry, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
