Citi analyst Stephen Trent says Gol Linhas’ receipt of financing guarantees “looks marginally positive as it should allow the carrier to conduct vitally important engine maintenance.” However, considering that Gol now needs such guarantees “sends concerning signals about the carrier’s overall financial condition,” the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm keeps a Sell rating on the shares.
