Chinese hardware maker Goertek is strengthening its grip on Meta‘s AI glasses supply chain, including making “Hypernova,” through a series of dealmaking, Hannah Murphy and Eleanor Olcott of The Financial Times report. The Chinese hardware supplier’s dealmaking includes taking control of Shanghai OmniLight, which makes micro-nano optical devices used in smart glasses, and helping to finance a takeover of optics supplier Plessey, according to the report.
