Craig-Hallum lowered the firm’s price target on Genius Sports (GENI) to $15 from $20 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm says that while the business has solid fundamentals, it questions both the size of the Legend transaction and negative implications for valuation multiple. Craig-Hallum believes that while affiliate marketing can be a complementary add-on to the company’s existing business, the industry can be quite volatile and is undergoing numerous challenges related to operator marketing spend, regulation, and disruption from Google (GOOGL) changes and LLMs.
