General Motors (GM) plans to cut 500-600 employees from its information technology ranks in an effort to cut costs, Bloomberg’s David Welch reports, citing people familiar with the matter. GM confirmed it is eliminating “some” jobs as part of efforts to transform its IT department to better position the company for the future.
