In a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, GameStop (GME) commented on Nintendo (NTDOY) saying that Switch 2 pre-orders in the U.S. will not start on April 9, 2025 as previously planned. “GameStop will continued to work closely with Nintendo and provide updates as soon as more information becomes available,” the retailer said. “Stay tuned for further details.” The Fly notes that Nintendo said the new console’s June 5, 2025 launch date is unchanged.
