SWITCH 2 SALES: Last week, Nintendo (NTDOY) said that its Switch 2 console had sold over 3.5M units worldwide in its first four days of availability, making it the fastest-selling Nintendo hardware ever globally. Meanwhile, Famitsu said that the Switch 2 is the fastest-selling console ever in Japan. The system has sold 947,931 units in its first week in Japan, which doesn't take into account sales on the company's My Nintendo Store. The previous fastest-selling console in Japan, according to Famitsu, was Sony's (SONY) PlayStation 2, with just over 630,000 systems sold in its inaugural week.
