Ford (F) is recalling 229,609 Bronco vehicles in the U.S. due to a failure in the instrument panel display, such as warning lights or vehicle speed, the NHTSA says. The instrument panel’s software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge, according to the regulator. Ford is also recalling 20,558 of its hybrid vehicles due to a manufacturing defect in its high-voltage battery cells, which could result in battery failure.
