Ford price target lowered to $9 from $13 at Piper Sandler

Piper Sandler lowered the firm’s price target on Ford (F) to $9 from $13 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The company’s cash-generating businesses have been used to subsidize warranty campaigns and failed electric vehicle launches, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says Ford management has articulated a plan to address its challenges, but that “this could take years.” It adds the company must react to the same tariff and regulatory uncertainty as everyone else. Piper cites its lowered estimates and a new valuation methodology for target cut.
