Ford (F) has sent an official notice to labor groups about its plans to cut more than 470 jobs at two plants in South Africa, including its Silverton assembly plant in Pretoria and the Struandale engine plant in Gqeberha, Khuleko Siwele of Bloomberg reports, citing an emailed statement from labor union Solidarity. Ford has about 5,300 workers at the two plants.
