Ford (F) has agreed to a job protection scheme at its Cologne plant that would cover over 10,000 workers, with voluntary redundancies planned in response to slow uptake of electric cars, Rachel More of Reuters reports. The company has been undergoing a restructuring in Europe, with cuts at its Cologne plant and an upcoming closure of its Saarlouis plant.
