While FedEx (FDX) said in a regulatory filing Thursday that it had “mutually agreed” to part ways with chief digital and information officer and chief transformation officer Sriram Krishnasamy, his abrupt exit follows a company probe into allegations that the business performance of a division he oversaw had been inflated, the Wall Street Journal’s Esther Fung and Sarah Nassauer report, citing people familiar with the situation. The unit, known as FedEx Dataworks, utilizes logistics information from the flow of millions of parcels in FedEx’s network each day to help companies improve supply chains, the authors note. The regulatory filing did not mention anything about the probe, and the company did not comment on the nature of the investigation, the authors say.
