The FBI reported that there were 2,126,085 firearm background checks initiated through the NICS system in May 2024. This compares to 2,551,747 checks in May of 2023 and 2,372,302 in April 2024. Companies in the gun space include Sturm, Ruger (RGR), Smith & Wesson Brands (SWBI), and Vista Outdoor (VSTO).
