Elliott Investment Management has built a roughly $4B stake in PepsiCo (PEP), and is planning to urge the company to make changes to revive its share price, The Wall Street Journal’s Lauren Thomas and Laura Cooper report, citing people familiar with the matter. Elliott’s position, one of the activist’s largest equity stakes ever, makes it one of PepsiCo’s top five active investors excluding index funds, the people say.
