EchoStar (SATS) is being pushed by federal regulators to sell some of its airwaves after concerns have risen that the company has failed to use valuable parts of its wireless spectrum, Kelcee Griffis and Reshmi Basu of Bloomberg reports. Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission Brendan Carr wants the company to seek a sale of licenses in the AWS-4 band and has presented his “best and final” offer to Chairman Charlie Ergen, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg.
