Truist lowered the firm’s price target on Eagle Materials (EXP) to $280 from $330 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares ahead of its Q4 results next month. The firm has reduced its estimates on the very weak read from industry wallboard shipments for calendar Q1, and it expects this to probably persist for several more quarters, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Truist adds however that the impact of tariffs both directly and more importantly indirectly could change estimates in either direction as calendar 2025 unfolds.
