E.W. Scripps (SSP) said it has reached an agreement to purchase WTVQ, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, from Morris Network, for $15.8M. “Scripps’ acquisition of WTVQ would create a duopoly in Lexington with the company’s existing NBC affiliate, WLEX,” the company said in a statement. The transaction requires federal regulatory.
