Square Enix’s (SQNXF) “Dragon Quest VII Reimagined” was the best-selling new release in Japan for the week of February 2-8, according to Famitsu. The game sold 177,653 units on Nintendo Switch (NTDOY), 160,101 units on Switch 2, and 118,798 on PlayStation 5 (SONY) for an opening week of 456,552 retail units sold during its launch week. The fourth best-selling game in Japan for the week was Koei Tecmo’s (TKHCF) “Nioh 3,” which sold 40,570 units on PlayStation 5.
