Last month, DoorDash (DASH) quietly leased a nondescript warehouse in San Francisco, California’s Mission District where it intends to test autonomous flying drone deliveries, the San Francisco Chronicle’s Laura Waxmann reports. The building, which is located roughly two miles south of the company’s downtown headquarters, will serve as an R&D space tot advance autonomous delivery technology, the author says, citing a letter submitted to San Francisco Zoning Administrator Corey Teague in July.
