Doma Perpetual reports 5.7% stake in Pacira, seeks influence

Pedro Escudero’s Doma Perpetual Capital Management disclosed a 5.7% stake in Pacira (PCRX), which represents over 2.69M shares. The filing with the SEC allows for activism. Doma said it purchased the shares on August 1, 4 and 5 with the intent to influence the company but without the intention to take full control of it. Doma is not currently contemplating a merger or reorganization, but may contemplate such a transaction if it believes the shares are underperforming.
