Disney (DIS) is looking to eliminate as many as 1,000 positions in the coming weeks, The Wall Street Journal’s Ben Fritz and Joe Flint report, citing people familiar with the matter, with many of the cuts expected to come from the recently consolidated marketing department. The company is seeking to free up money to invest in digital businesses where it sees growth potential, the report stated.
