Diana Shipping (DSX) announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Paralos Shipping Pte. Ltd., for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Maia. The gross charter rate is $14,000 per day, minus a 5.00% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum July 5, 2027 up to maximum September 5, 2027. The new charter period is expected to commence on January 13, 2026. The m/v Maia is currently chartered, as previously announced, at a gross charter rate of $11,600 per day, minus a 5.00% commission paid to third parties. The “Maia” is an 82,193 dwt Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel built in 2009. The employment of “Maia” is anticipated to generate a total of approximately $7.45M of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
