Telsey Advisory analyst Dana Telsey lowered the firm’s price target on Designer Brands (DBI) to $4 from $5 and keeps a Market Perform rating on the shares. Despite modest expectations, the company’s Q1 results were disappointing, the analyst tells investors. Demand was softer than anticipated, with unfavorable weather playing a role, the firm adds. The macro-operating environment remains challenging, with pressure on the consumer remaining a concern as well as the impact from tariffs and how consumers will react to higher prices, the firm notes.
