Delta began to face weather problems at its Atlanta hub on Friday night, with lightning, hail, and reports of microbursts brought flights to a halt, Alison Sider of The Wall Street Journal reports. The company had to cancel 581 flights on Saturday and an additional 56 mainline flights as of midday Sunday, the journal adds, citing FlightAware.
