Delta Air Lines (DAL) said, “Operations have resumed at New York’s LaGuardia Airport following a collision involving an Air Canada (ACDVF) Express CRJ aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation and a Port Authority firetruck. The airport has transitioned to single-runway operations, and the FAA has implemented a ground delay program to safely manage traffic. Additional schedule adjustments can be expected as teams work to support safe operations and manage delays. Flexible options remain available for customers whose travel takes them to, from or through New York area airports (LGA, JFK, EWR and HPN) to adjust their flights. Delta will automatically rebook affected customers to the next best itinerary, and customers can make further changes via the Delta app and delta.com. The hearts and thoughts of the entire Delta Air Lines family are with all those affected.”
