Delta Air Lines (DAL) has hiked its fee for checked bags by $10 for tickets bought starting Wednesday, following similar moves by United (UAL) and JetBlue (JBLU) amid a surge in jet fuel expenses this year, CNBC’s Leslie Josephs reports, citing a company statement. “These updates are part of Delta’s ongoing review of pricing across its business and reflect the impact of evolving global conditions and industry dynamics,” the company said. The changes bring the fee to check a first piece of luggage on domestic or short-haul international trip to $45 and $55 for a second bag.
