Craig-Hallum commented on a short report from J Capital Research on Thursday, saying he believes this research “to be a sham by a firm that doesn’t name its principles or authors, with most of the claims made in the report to be blown out of proportion or just not backed by any hard facts at all.” The stock’s 35% drop following the short report was a “gross overreaction to this deceptive and unsubstantiated report,” the analyst added. Craig-Hallum maintained a Buy rating on AXT Inc.
