DA Davidson keeps a Neutral rating and $1000 price target on Costco (COST) after its August same store sales data. The total comps were “stable”, with sales excluding the impact of changes in foreign currencies and gas prices, were up 6.9%, similar to last month, and U.S. comps excluding the impact of changes in foreign currencies and gas prices, up 6.7% in August, a slight acceleration from 6.5% in July, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Overall, spending appears stable with a 2.2% increase in average ticket along with stable traffic trends, the firm added.
