Truist keeps a Hold rating and $1,042 price target on Costco (COST) after the company’s latest monthly sales data. U.S. comps growth of 5.5% in June was flat with growth rate in May, and total comps were 6.2% vs. 6.0% in May, though trends among Food and Sundries/Fresh Foods remained solid while nonfoods were up mid-single-digits, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The company continues to attract a broad base of value-conscious customers due to its wide range of offerings at extremely competitive price points, though the firm prefers a more attractive price-point for entry, Truist added.
