Stifel analyst Mark Astrachan lowered the firm’s price target (TGT) on Costco (COST) to $1,035 from $1,075 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm’s survey work shows U.S. consumer spending intentions remain positive, though they worsened sequentially in March and February relative to January levels, says the analyst, who adds that the survey continues to favor Costco and Walmart (WMT) from a stock perspective.
