Commvault (CVLT) Systems exploring a possible sale after receiving takeover interest from multiple parties, four people familiar with the matter told Reuters’ Milana Vinn. The data protection software provider is working with Goldman Sachs (GS) to explore its options after fielding inquiries from both private equity firms and strategic buyers, according to the sources. Thoma Bravo is among the potential buyers that have expressed interest in Commvault in recent weeks, the report added. Following the report, shares of Commvault jumped $5.08, or 6%, to $85.69 and were halted for volatility.
