DA Davidson analyst Rudy Kessinger lowered the firm’s price target on Commvault (CVLT) to $125 from $135 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. A conversation with Commvault IR indicated the CFO search is progressing with candidates experienced in public software companies, and naming a well-regarded CFO could serve as a catalyst, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Annual recurring revenue guidance for Q4 does not appear conservative, and initial FY27 guidance may be muted as the company aims to rebuild credibility and resume a beat-and-raise cadence, the firm says.
