CME Group (CME) reported its average daily volume reached a monthly record of 41.1M contracts in March, up 33% year-over-year, and a quarterly record of 36.2M contracts in Q1, up 22% year-over-year. Additionally, for the first time ever, quarterly volumes reached record levels across interest rate, energy, metals, equity index, agriculture and foreign exchange products.
