In the opening hour of the evening session, U.S. equity futures are flat after major indices registered fresh record highs in regular trading. In commodities, WTI Crude Oil has pared its overnight advance, returning back to $62 per barrel, while Metals are also consolidating the recent gains – Gold is just above $3,670 and Silver north of $42 per ounce.

Elevated CPI data was overshadowed by concerning employment figures on Thursday as weekly jobless claims topped 250K for the first time this year. U.S. Treasury yields slid across the curve as traders bolstered expectations for Fed easing starting next week. After trading softer earlier in the week, Materials outperformed on the S&P 500, with Energy the worst performing sector in the index.
