Citi (C)group executives are more confident they will be able to finish compliance work on major regulatory punishments later this year, which would allow the company to sharpen its focus on profit growth following six years of compliance work involving thousands of employees, Tatiana Bautzer and Lananh Nguyen of Reuters reports, citing two people familiar with the matter. The company may also look into acquisitions that were previously barred under the consent orders.
