B. Riley raised the firm’s price target on Cinemark (CNK) to $34 from $30 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. Industry box office revenue rose 22% year over year in the period, outperforming expectations and driven by strong releases in March, particularly Project Hail Mary, alongside solid contributions from Scream 7 and Hoppers, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Looking ahead to Q2, box office is expected to grow slightly, with gains in June offset by weaker April and May comparisons and mixed revisions to key film assumptions, the firm says.
