Chinese sports apparel company Anta Sports Products has been working with an adviser to evaluate a potential takeover bid for Puma (PUMSY), people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Eyk Henning, Dong Cao, Vinicy Chan, and Pei Li. Other potential bidders could include rival Chinese apparel firm Li Ning, said the report, which added that Puma may also attract interest from sportswear companies such as Japan’s Asics Corp.
