China makes it difficult to get rare earth magnet export licenses, Reuters says

Since September, Chinese rare earth magnet companies have been facing more scrutiny on its export license applications, Reuters reports, citing sources. The lengthier reviews have led to question on whether China is seeking to slow down magnet shipments, which goes contrary to its commitment to speed up exports in a trade truce with the U.S. made back in May. The Fly notes that companies involved in the development and mining of rare earth minerals include Nova Minerals (NVA), Ioneer (IONR), Lynas Rare Earths (LYSCF), MP Materials (MP), Energy Fuels (UUUU), NioCorp (NB) and VanEck Vectors Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (REMX).
