China announces anti-dumping duties on optical fiber from U.S.

Starting September 4, China will impose anti-dumping duties on certain cut-off wavelength-shifted single-mode optical fibers originated from the U.S., according to a translation of a statement issued on the site of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The anti-dumping duty rates imposed on Corning (GLW) Incorporated is listed as 37.9%, on OFS-Feite LLC as 33.3%, on Drake Communications USA as 78.2% and on other U.S. companies as 78.2%.
