Citi raised the firm’s price target on CenterPoint Energy (CNP) to $47 from $41 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The company provided a positive update as it reported adjusted EPS of 45c, a pull forward of Houston Electric load timing increasing peak load by about 50% two years faster to 2029, and a new 765kv line added to the plan, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm added that CenterPoint received positive new U.S. Treasury at-the-market guidance, which is likely to eliminate federal cash taxes through 2035.
