Celldex initates Phase 2 study of barzolvolimab in AD

Celldex (CLDX) Therapeutics announced that the Company has initiated a Phase 2 study of barzolvolimab in atopic dermatitis, AD, and that the study is actively enrolling patients. AD is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases, with a lifetime prevalence of up to 20% of the US population and a substantial impact on quality of life. Barzolvolimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically binds and blocks the receptor tyrosine kinase KIT with high specificity and potently inhibits its activity, which is required for the function and survival of the mast cell.
