Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways (CPCAY) said earlier on Thursday that it was in the midst of a decision on alternatives for new orders of mid-sized widebody aircraft, amid a spate of recent fleet purchases by the airliner, Danny Lee and Siddharth Vikram Philip wrote for Bloomberg. Airbus (EADSY) and Boeing (BA) have both been sent a request for information “for the potentially multi-billion dollar plane order,” added the Bloomberg story, citing people familiar with the matter.
