Cathay leaning toward Airbus for freighter deal, Reuters reports

Cathay Pacific Airways (CPCAY) is favoring placing an order for about six Airbus (EADSY) A350 freighters as the Hong Kong airline renews the oldest section of its fleet dedicated to 747 aircraft, Reuters’ Tim Hepher and Valerie Insinna report, citing industry sources. The selection would mark a comeback for the Airbus freighter after Cathay previously seemed to lean toward the competing Boeing (BA) 777-8F before postponing the decision for several months, the authors note.
