Cascades (CADNF) is closing a containerboard packaging facility in Niagara Falls in early October, cutting its entire workforce at the plant, The Buffalo News’ Jonathan Epstein reports. The move comes weeks after a subsidiary with a related plant nearby expanded and extended its line of credit, the author notes. Other publicly traded companies in the space include International Paper (IP), Smurfit WestRock (SW), Packaging Corp. (PKG), and Greif (GEF).
