On February 18, plaintiffs Sable Offshore (SOC) Corp. and Pacific Pipeline Company filed their original complaint for damages, declaratory relief, and injunctive relief against defendant California Coastal Commission. On April 16, Sable filed an amended complaint, which includes a petition for writ of mandate. Also on April 16, the Commission filed a cross-complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief against Sable. According to a tentative ruling posted to the site of the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara, the application of the California Coastal Commission for issuance of a preliminary injunction is granted. “No bond is required. The Commission shall present a written order for entry by the court,” the court site stated. In afternoon trading, Sable Offshore shares are down $5.51, or 17%, to $27.42.
