ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is at work on a lightweight mixed reality device that resembles a pair of goggles, The Information’s Juro Osawa and Wayne Ma report. According to three people with direct knowledge of the project, ByteDance is following in the footsteps of Meta (META), which has been working on a similar product scheduled for release in 2027.
