Wang Chuanfu, the founder of BYD (BYDDF), has tried his hand at producing batteries, making electronics, and creating electric vehicles, but, for more than a decade, he has been trying to build a monorail network to solve problems of congestion and carbon emissions, Linda Lew of Bloomberg reports. Launched in 2016, the company has spent nearly $1B and assigned over 1,000 engineers to develop its SkyRail system, but, just a few years later, these half-dismantled stations and trains are collecting dust.
